What is an information system on environmental information ?



Too much information.

The world is switching to a knowledge-based economy.
Till some years ago, finding information on a specific subject was a difficult task.

Today, the actual problem is that there exist too much information available on any subject. A simple search in the internet will provide you with thousands of articles, books, pamphlets, catalogues, promotions, opinions, etc. The simple list of the available information (not the info itself) may be long enough to overflow your capacity to read it.

The difficult task in our days is to filter the relevant information in a sea of irrelevant and repetitive documents.
